Update on the Life and Times...

I don't totally understand what my deal is with food. It is such an area of weakness for me. I need to spend a good chunk of time this weekend talking with God about this and some other things, to really just get alone with God and let him show me what's going on deep inside.

On to other things.....

I am now the Nursery Coordinator at church, which is pretty exciting for me. I get to use the administrative gifts I have in coordinating things, sending out letters, etc., as well as be creative with the nursery, both in set-up and how it's run. This has a lot of possibilities for stretching and challenging me. I am all excited just talking about it.

God has been doing a lot in my life lately in large spurts, in fact, a prophetic word was given to me at a recent leadership retreat to that effect. I am excited to see where God is taking me.

At any rate, I feel like I have changed a bit, even in the last month or so. Relevant Magazine's message boards have been challenging me a lot to really think about what I believe and why. The phase my church is going through is kinda doing the same thing as well.

The most important priority for me right now needs to be keeping my focus on God, though I feel I have been failing in that area recently. That's also partly why I need to have a mini-retreat with just me and God at the beach or park, or something.

So there is a bit of an update on the Life and Times of Marieke :-)
