Warning, useless info following:
I just did a Google search of "The Life and Times of Marieke" just for the heck of it. My blog was on page 11 of the search, but I discovered a few interesting Marieke's. here is a sampling of the Marieke's I found: another blogger on blogspot, a Doctor of Sociology, and an Associate Producer for the movie The Hours.

It's funny, cause my name is pretty uncommon in the US, at least the way it is pronounced, too. But there were a lot of links to sites from the Netherlands, where the name is pretty common.

Yeah, I am bored.

Other News

I am super-excited about getting my car tonight. I gotta remember to bring the camera so I can take pics for the insurance (did I mention I'm an insurance agent?) and to post for some of my internet buddies to see.

This is so dumb, well, not really, but I am pretty stoked that I found this crochet hook I have been needing to finish a blanket I have been crocheting. Yes, I crochet and I enjoy it. It is very relaxing. Unfortunately, there aren't many "cool" patterns out there for clothing and such. Mostly stuff for old ladies and babies, lots for babies. At any rate, it is a fun hobby.

I was talking on the phone with a friend last night and I told him I was crocheting while we were talking and he says "you're so domestic". It's true, though I have never really thought about it that way. I can cook, sew, crochet, and all fairly decently, too. And I enjoy these activities.

Well, I better quit avoiding work....
