Back at the office

I am back at my dad's office. It's kinda wierd since I'm in school and working slightly odd hours so that I can get everything done. Plus, I don't know where anything is anymore since some things have gotten reorganized and different files are out. And I have to figure out what was going on with each file that is out. Anyway, it's not too bad. My posting probably won't be as regular as it used to be, since I really need to focus on getting everything done, but I thought I'd give a little update.

I am really loving school and I feel at home being a music major again. It is just right. I've been getting my voice back into shape and I think it's even better than before, probably due to age.

I've had an interesting development come up over the past few weeks. I have had about 5 people now ask me to teach them how to sing. I don't really feel qualified enough, knowledge-wise, to teach other people, but I think it might be a good thing for me to do for the experience. I decided to talk to my vocal professor and he said I should go for it. I need to practice my piano skills a bit, though, because I need to be able to play a melody line and warm-ups. So, I think I am going to review my "Basics of Singing" book and try it out. I may even go into teaching music/voice lessons as my profession. Who knows? I think I might enjoy it.

Oh, and in other news....my 21st birthday was on Monday! I had a GREAT day--it was just what I needed. I didn't get drunk or anything, but I did have my first drink at a bar (it was in a restaurant, so it was low-key). I don't think I will be doing that too often, but perhaps I will try having wine with dinner every once in a while or something. Tomorrow afternoon through Friday, Jenn and I are going to have a little birthday campout, which I am excited about.

I had been hoping that I could get this tattoo (that has been designed for me) on or around my birthday, but I dont think it's gonna happen, since I can't afford it myself at the moment. The design turned out great, and I hope I'll be able to afford it soon!!

I think that is a pretty good update for now. I'll try to keep this thing up more in the future.
