YAY!! (a follow-up)

Things are improving A LOT with my dad. Yesterday, with some help at first, we were actually able to talk without drama and inflamed emotions. It was so refreshing to be able to actually communicate with my dad and be understood and understand what he's saying, too.

Also, I met with Katie (the female half of our mentor couple ;)) and she and I talked for about 3 1/2 hours about all kinds of things - a lot of which obviously related to relationships. I don't know of any couple who could be a better match for mentoring me and Nathan. Seriously. It's like they're perfect for us. I feel like I could talk to Katie about anything and not be judged, but still get the guidance and advice I need. And from what I can tell so far, Nathan feels the same.
