Milestones and turning points

Disclaimer: I actually started writing this on Monday, but didn't get around to finishing it till now. So here ya go...it might still be a little half-baked)

What a crazy time it has been lately! On top of everything else...Nathan and I are now halfway through our first year of marriage! It's been a joyful, stressful, overwhelming, exciting, and overall very, very happy time.

And six months from now, I'll be getting ready to start school again and we'll be living in the Bay Area! Ack! It seems both far away, and really close.

Nathan and I both have a sense of rightness about this move, as sad and scary as it may be. I'm sad to leave friends both old and new, to leave family and the deep connections I have here. It will be weird to be living somewhere that I don't know like the back of my hand...but on the flipside, it'll be exciting to explore and learn and grow.

I think it's kind of fitting that this has all happened around the six-month mark of our first year of marriage...a turning point in many ways. And to add to it even more, Nathan will be turning 22 this Saturday! So he's beginning a whole other year of his life at the crux of all these different "events".

I love the excitement & trepidation that comes with a new city, home, neighborhood. Finding great new places to call our own. I look forward to it for you both.
Oh & Happy Birthday Nathan!!!
